Lowestoft is an incorporated Sixth Form College and its governing body is called the Corporation.

The Corporation is responsible for determining and periodically reviewing the educational character and mission of the College and oversees its management by approving the quality strategy and ensuring solvency whilst safeguarding the assets.

The Corporation comprises external members, students, staff and parent members (governors) and meets at least four times a year. Members are also allocated to committees to consider Corporation business in more detail.
