About the course…

Are you interested in human biology, health, or medical science? Our Medical Science course offers a comprehensive study of the principles and applications of the field through three core units.

Medical Science enables students to study the principles and applications of medical science through three mandatory units, and further explore other areas in more detail via an optional unit. Students will also learn practical and investigative skills that build on this fundamental knowledge.

The mandatory units cover the following areas:

  • Human anatomy, physiology and pathology

  • Practical microbiology and infectious diseases.

Alongside this theoretical knowledge, you will develop practical and investigative skills, including microbiological work with bacteria.
