Our Most Successful Careers Event



Nearly 700 students along with 200 pupils from Pakefield High School attended the event on Wednesday the 22nd February 2017; to help them make informed choices about their future. Whether they go to university or into the workplace, the event enabled students to enhance their employability skills and network with the many employers willing to share their expertise.

Over 40 organisations attended the locally renowned event including universities, major employers such as CEFAS, British Sugar, Hoseasons, Sentinel Leisure, East Coast Community Healthcare, The Royal Navy, Army Careers, Apprenticeship representatives and various volunteering groups.

Karen Lambton who organises the annual event said “This was our 5th and biggest Career’s event to-date. I am so grateful for the continued support the College receives from the many employers. The event helps students to realise that anything is possible and that opportunities are accessible to all.”

College Principal Yolanda Botham said “Inspiring futures! That’s the purpose of our Career’s event and thanks to all our contributors; this year’s was tremendous, showcasing the exciting breadth of opportunities available across our region and beyond.”

Student Soraia Mendes said “The event was really exciting and busy. I gained further knowledge on Childcare Apprenticeships which is what I would like to do next year.”
