About the course…

If you aspire to work in health and healthcare, this is the perfect course for you.

You will develop a general understanding of health and science through a range of core topics, including working within the health and science sector, principles of good scientific and clinical
practice, managing information and data and health, safety and environmental regulations.

You will also explore topics specific to health, such as providing person-centred care, supporting health and wellbeing, infection prevention and control, understanding the healthcare
sector and further knowledge of both human anatomy and physiology and of diseases and disorders.

  • The course includes a minimum of nine-weeks work experience.
  • This course is equivalent to three A Levels.

Where Health can take you…

This course will prepare you for a range of nursing and allied health professions such as healthcare assistant, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, paramedic, speech and language
therapist, dental hygienist and sports scientist.

You could also progress to a degree or higher level apprenticeship in a related subject.

Entry requirements…

  • 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above in Maths, English and Science
