The college may be able to help eligible students with the cost of all methods of transport through our Discretionary Bursary Funds. Please see the Student Finance page for details on how to apply.

Bus

Lowestoft Bus Station is approximately a 10 minute walk from the college. There are frequent bus services throughout the area, which terminate in Lowestoft. The main bus company that operates in the surrounding area is the First Group.

New bus route – Halesworth, Bungay, Beccles and Carlton Colville

We’ve teamed up with Sizewell C to offer a FREE direct bus service to help those living in or near Halesworth, Bungay, Beccles, and Carlton Colville get to college quickly and comfortably.

Bus stops:

  • 7:55am – Halesworth Car Park
  • 8:10am – Bungay – Kings Road
  • 8:20am – Beccles – Lowestoft Road (Junction with Ellough Road)
  • 8:30am – Carlton Colville – Marsh Lane Bus Stop
  • 8:50am – Lowestoft Sixth Form College

The return bus leaves promptly at 4:35pm from college and will stop at the same locations.

To use this service, just show your college ID badge to the driver.

Train

Lowestoft Train Station is situated in the town centre, about 12 minutes from the college.

Subsidised Transport

Both Suffolk and Norfolk County Council offer post-16 transport schemes. This could offer a subsidised travel provision for eligible students living over three miles from college. Find out more using the contact information below:

Travel by bicycle, moped or car

We have 100 sheltered and secure bike racks and a limited number of designated moped/motorcycle parking bays available with lockers for storage. We do not have any student parking on site for the sixth form. Students are welcome to park in East Coast College car park, which is on the same campus, and has free on-site parking. If parking elsewhere, students should be mindful and considerate of parking restrictions in the surrounding residential area.
