Kell Tisdall!

Kell has battled high anxiety connected to his autism, and adapting to a school environment. Kell was home-schooled from the age of nine until taking his GCSEs with us three years ago. He passed all 5 GCSEs he studied here, attaining 3 A’s in the process.

Through the support provided by our ALS team, Kell was able to win the prestigious 2016 PRINCIPAL’S AWARD, the highest honour available within the college for his exceptional achievements at GCSE. Kell then went on to study A Level Sociology, BTEC Games Design, BTEC Business Studies & BTEC ICT.

Yesterday Kell gained an A* in Sociology, and four distinction stars in ICT, Game Design and Business Studies.

Kell will now go on to study Business Information Systems at the University of East Anglia, he said:

“To sum up college in one word; perfect. With the help of all the teachers, the facilities, everything here, I managed to get perfect grades. I can’t wait to go to University which for a long time I thought was out of bounds. I’d love to thank in particular Tracy Squirrell, she helped me every step of the way from when I was about to join college to the end.”

We are so proud of Kell and his achievements with us and wish him the best of luck for the future. He will be missed at Lowestoft Sixth Form College!
